FAMILY ROOTS IN SOLUKHUMBU / NEPAL HI TEA
Born into a tea-growing family. Inspired by the travellers passing through his home.
While studying in Kathmandu, our founder saw his village from a new distance. Families were growing tea in Solukhumbu, yet few direct paths connected their work with the people who would value it.
The Everest trail offered a connection already close to home. Nepal Hi Tea began around 2025 to bring tea from local family gardens to travellers in Namche Bazaar, and became a registered company in 2026.

Most tea travels a long chain before it reaches a cup: grower, collector, factory, exporter, importer, retailer. In Solukhumbu, something unusual happens — tens of thousands of international visitors walk through the very district where the tea grows. Nepal Hi Tea is built on shortening that distance.
